Aran Tides is a tele-present kinetic art installation that was built and submitted as part of the final project and thesis submission for the M.Phil in Music and Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin. The piece uses real-time tidal data from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland to manipulate and control both an auditory and visual display. This results in a generative piece of art, whereby the system is built by the artist, however the final output is determined by the ocean.

A sample of the audio used in the installation was released on November 26, 2018 and can purchased and streamed here.
